About the System

The Integrated County GIS System (ICGS) for Wajir County is a countywide information management and decision-support system that enables the systematic collection, integration, analysis, and visualization of location-based data to support planning, governance, and service delivery. The system provides a centralized platform through which spatial and non-spatial data from multiple county departments can be accessed and utilized in a coordinated manner, ensuring consistency, data sharing, and institutional collaboration. By linking development activities, public services, infrastructure, and natural resources to their geographic locations, the ICGS strengthens evidence-based policy formulation, equitable resource allocation, and effective monitoring of county programmes and projects. The system enhances transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency by supporting informed decision-making across all levels of county administration, while contributing to sustainable development and improved service outcomes for residents of Wajir County.
